Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all participants who register for Volt Run 2026. By registering, participants automatically accept these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Mortar Events reserves the right to suspend or close registration without prior notice.
  2. Registration is open to all participants, regardless of nationality.
  3. Registration and payment for the event should only be made through the official Mortar Shop website or through alternative methods conducted by the Organising Committee.
  4. All information provided must be TRUE. False identity or information may result in disqualification.
  5. Participants who face issues with payment or need to make changes to their registration details (e.g. T-shirt size, sleeve type, colour shirt for 2.5KM, or race category) should contact us via https://www.themortarshop.com/contact/ or by emailing admin@mortarevents.com/hello@mortarevents.com before registration closes.
  6. Personal data collected from participants is stored and used solely for the purposes of this event.
  7. Kit collection includes Pass, Shirt, Bib, and Bag. Timing Chip is included for the 5KM and 10KM categories only.
  8. Participants who successfully finish the race will be awarded a Finisher Medal. Top-placing finishers will be eligible for a cash prize pool, awarded separately from the Finisher Medal.
  9. It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they are medically fit and capable of completing their selected race distance.
  10. Participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk. By registering, participants acknowledge that Mortar Events shall not be liable for death, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the event.
  11. It is the responsibility of participants to be familiar with the running route.
  12. Every participant will be provided with a bib number and QR-coded ticket, which must be presented at kit collection and worn visibly during the event.
  13. Participants in the 5KM and 10KM categories must pass all designated checkpoints along the route in order to be qualified as finishers.
  14. Participants in the 5KM and 10KM categories must be capable of completing their full distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement of 1 hour 30 minutes for 5KM and 2 hours 30 minutes for 10KM. The 2.5KM category has no imposed cutoff time.
  15. Any participant who intentionally shortens the race route or cuts the course will be immediately disqualified, participants who exchanged bib in the middle of the race will be immediately disqualified.
  16. Participants who feel unwell are strongly discouraged from participating in the event.
  17. Registered participants are encouraged to wear their Volt Run 2026 T-shirt and appropriate sports attire during the event.
  18. In the event of rain or adverse weather, the event may be postponed by up to 45 minutes. Should adverse weather persist beyond this period, the event may be postponed to a later date.
  19. The event will be cancelled if lightning or strong winds occur in the event area.
  20. Kit collection will take place on 23–24 October 2026, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, at Guren Cafe (No.1, Ground Floor, Spg 129 Jln Jerudong, BG3122). Participants must present their QR ticket for collection. Kits not collected within this window may still be claimed during the race day window, subject to availability and possible delays.
  21. Registration fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including event cancellation, postponement, or any other circumstances beyond the Organising Committee’s control.
  22. Mortar Events reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time before the event. Updated versions will be shared with participants via email or posted on this page.
  23. Each participant grants Mortar Events and its authorised partners the irrevocable right to photograph, film, record, and use their image, likeness, voice, and other representations captured during the event for promotional, marketing, publicity, and reporting purposes across all media platforms, without compensation.
  24. The Organising Committee reserves the right to remove any participant from the event at any time if, in the reasonable judgment of event marshals or medical personnel, the participant’s continued participation poses a risk to their own safety or the safety of others.
  25. In the event of injury or medical emergency during the event, participants consent to receive emergency medical treatment and, if necessary, transport to a medical facility, at the discretion of on-site medical personnel. Mortar Events shall not be liable for the cost of any medical treatment received.
  26. Mortar Events shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms & Conditions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, government restrictions or advisories, civil unrest, or other events of force majeure. In such circumstances, the Organising Committee reserves the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the event without liability, subject to Clause 21 (non-refundable registration fees).
