Our website address is: https://mortarevents.com/. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you shop with us — whether that’s registering for an event or ordering merchandise — and how we use it.
What we collect and why
Contact & order details:
name, email, phone, billing/shipping info — to process your order and send confirmations.
Event participant details (event registrations only):
The registration info needed for your race entry (e.g. identification, age, sizing, category) — to verify you at kit collection and print your ticket correctly.
Kit/order collection record (event registrations only):
Collection time and staff member who confirmed it (and collector’s name/phone, if someone collects on your behalf).
Team/Partner/Coupon code:
If you registered through one.
Payment details:
Handled directly by our payment gateway, CyberSource (Visa Acceptance Solutions); we don’t store your card/bank details ourselves.
We use this data to process and fulfil your order (whether that’s an event registration or a merchandise purchase), verify you at the event if applicable, keep basic financial records, and contact you about your order. We may also use your contact details (email address, phone number) for promotions related to Mortar events, through channels such as email or messaging apps. We don’t sell your data to third parties. You can opt out of these messages at any time by contacting us at hello@mortarevents.com and letting us know you’d like to stop.
Who we share it with
Our payment gateway, CyberSource (Visa Acceptance Solutions); a third-party QR service that renders your ticket’s QR code (it only receives an order reference, no personal details); a courier/delivery service, for merchandise orders that need shipping (they receive your name and delivery address only); and event staff checking you in at kit collection. Nothing else, unless required by law.
How long we keep it
Event participant details (e.g. IC number, sizing, race category) are kept for 1 year after the event, then deleted. Order and payment transaction records are kept for 5 years as required by Brunei’s record-keeping laws for businesses. We may keep your contact information for promotional purposes until you opt out. If you have an account with us, we keep your account details for as long as your account remains active.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, in line with Brunei’s Personal Data Protection Order (PDPO). Contact us at admin@mortarevents.com for any of these requests, or if something on your order needs updating.
